The Real Trouble With Network Marketing Is How To Get Leads

If you are like me when you got started, you were told to make that list of 100 friends and family you were even given such tools as a memory jogger. And again if you were like me, that scared you to death! No way were you willing to create that when you didn’t even have any real confidence in what you were getting into!

Then You Found Out About Lead Generation?

For me in my first experience in network marketing it was about buying a lead package, much of which was quite expensive. Now we have other ways to get those leads in ways that are free. We have to qualify that though, just because there isn’t a financial outlay, doesn’t mean there isn’t a cost, in time, in learning the skills, in the commitment of all of your resources.

We live today in a hurry up give it to me right now Generation! We want to be successful sometimes without the price that must be paid.

Take It One Step At A Time

One thing I can share from my personal experience is that I didn’t get there in one day. And please know, that the stories you have no doubt heard about someone going from rags to riches on the internet, those are great stories, but most don’t actually do that. So there is a little bit of an expectation to believe that you can do that too, without any of the process that most assuredly got them there!

You will find hundreds, maybe thousands of people claiming they did it in a week, or a month, but that rarely really happens. Every one of those who really did it, went through a process. Another thing to understand is it is as much a mind game, as it is a “how to.” You will also find that there are methods that you just don’t like to do, and maybe you have to find what really rings with you!

Find A Good Teacher!

Align with a teacher, someone who can help you. Be okay with having to get into their system, or on their mailing list. You can get literally lost in all the different strategies and that is why I am recommending that. For instance, I am really good at using Social Media. I know the nuts and bolts of the how to’s and I know how to get laser-targeted leads.

Understand that some people will claim to have the “blue print” and I have looked at a lot of them. Some of them just are not what they claim to be, and it’s just about charging you money. You have to do some investigation to find the right person that can help you.

While most of those programs are not generally free, be okay with following a program that feels good. And it’s not about always getting it free. It’s about determining if what they have is of value to you!

The other problem is that there are way too many strategies to do all of them, so is a matter of choosing the ones that you feels you can be most successful with! I always start people in Facebook, it’s really easy, and because its visual, it’s something most people understand, I am even doing at Thursday night, and you can be part of that by sending a blank e-mail to:

Giving Away A Free Gift

Most people that have become highly successful on the internet have realized that they have to give something away before they can get. Most of the time the gift is an e-book, or a training of some kind. That is what is called a funded proposal. In other words its necessary to have a way for you to get them on your list. Most won’t do it just because you are offering your MLM opportunity. And if you look around many are doing that. So what do you offer?

For me I have found most of them want to know how to do something. They are so hungry for it they grab it as soon as they see it. That is why you see people offering bootcamps, ebooks, etc. So now how does someone who really is new do it? The answer is when you can just get into a system that is already set up for you. In the system I have used it is setup to get you up and running right away. And then if you join me I also give you a lot of inside help that you won’t get if you just join anywhere else.

Give The Value First

Now I have to say this, because it’s one of the most understood things about building your business. Most people are not looking for your specific business! Most people are looking to solve a problem such as making more money, or getting more people to talk to if they are already in a network marketing company. So right away telling them all about your company and products without first establishing what their actually need and desire is will not create the customer or distributor.

So how do you get in front of more people and still get an opportunity to share your business, when they are ready? And what do you do with those people who say no? That was the questions that I had and I am sure you have had too. I did a huge amount of searching because not only did I want to solve that problem but I also wanted to help my team do the same thing! Network Marketing Video Marketing Though Youtube and Other Video Sites

Network Marketing Video Marketing — A History Lesson

Video Marketing is the hottest thing now, everyone is jumping in. Some are killing it but others are still struggling with it. What makes one video go to the most popular on Youtube and other sites, and others are virtually ignored? Well I wanted to know that too. I saw the writing on the wall about 3 years ago.

One of the thing I did early on is to get into a 90-day Video challenge. It was all about getting massive exposure and you can bet, that as I had not done it before I made plenty of mistakes.

Here though are some basic things you can do  right away to make your Network Marketing Video Marketing better:

Preparation

• Always check your environment, are there distracting things in the background?
• Your appearance, while we don’t have to be movie stars, it does pay to do a camera check, and see what you look like, is there something weird going on with your hair, is there food on your teeth?
• Dress as those of your target market would expect you to (I.E. you wouldn’t dress as a car salesman if you normally don’t dress that way)
• Make your background congruent with what you are talking about, if you are talking about a bike ride, don’t do your video in your living room.

Be Yourself

• I know that you hear this all the time, but it is extremely important here
• No extremes, not super hypy stuff, be your normal you
• Don’t try to be perfect, now if you want to drive yourself really crazy its when you think being perfect is part of the equation!
• Imagine being in conversation with a good friend, conversational and telling stories always works best
• Relax!

Give Value

• It is not about your company or product that comes later
• Remember they are asking “what is in it for me?”
• They are also asking “Can you help me?”
• People hate to be sold but they love to buy

Mother’s Hand Really Does Rock The World’s Cradle

It may not be a very popular notion, but I have studied history and in every civilization it is in the discounting of the importance of family (traditional) and most especially the mother, that that civilization begins to fall. It saddens and alarms me to see those signs right here in my beloved home land. Today I pay tribute to one of the most important people in my life, (mother) who has passed only 6 months ago.

Who fed me from her gentle breast
And hushed me in her arms to rest,
And on my cheek sweet kisses prest?
My Mother.

Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My mother.

Today I have the box packed and it will soon go out the door of the journals cards and letters my mother left us

I spent the time getting that digitized so that I would not loose those thoughts

In that journal most precious

Was little excerpts from her about me, and what I meant to her

I will treasure it always

So I leave that chapter

To start another

And this weekend, my children will gather ’round

And I will cherish them

I have been many things, but I believe mother is a reward I will raise to the top of the list of accomplishments

And maybe it isn’t popular today, in the days of women’s liberation

But I still say the greatest accomplishment, is to bring a human being into the world, to nurture, and then send off to be a productive adult

And I have three of those

Don’t be a ”Party Pooper!”

Many people start throwing up all kinds of objections and problems for themselves even before they actually have happened. Its the perception that we have of our present. Remember many of the things that are happening presently are actually reaping the benefits or the results of past thoughts and actions. How can you change that? Next in creating that winning MLM mindset…

How do I create a better environment?

When it comes to business, are we actually figuring out who we want to focus on? Where do they often gather? Try turning your objections into advantages. What is great about this? — instead of Why is this happening to me? Sometimes if we actually look at it we may be able to gain some great new perceptions about things that are happening in our life. And, sometimes it means to be willing to ”clean out some of our closets.” In other words, being willing to give up some things that don’t serve us anymore. Can you be okay with being uncomfortable in your mlm minset…..?

Being willing to be uncomfortable!

Many people are afraid about being uncomfortable. But make sure you understand that anything new is going to be uncomfortable! There is a period of learning. We have to be willing to be in that state of uncomfortable in order to let ourselves learn what it takes to reach that level of competence. Remember the first day you got behind a wheel of a car, were you competent? No you were not. My mom used to accuse me of taking “square corners!” The key thing is that I didn’t stay in that level of incompetence. I continued to practice and learn, and now when I get into my car, I don’t have to think about it. Realize that really creating that winning MLM mindset is about personal growth…..

Business and Personal Growth in anything is all about new habits!

Anything you are now doing with confidence started out as something you had to learn about. That is actually everything. We never even talked or walked, and if you think about it you now have hundreds, maybe even thousands of skills today because you went through a learning process. So lets go from Party Pooper to confident Entrepreneur by being willing to be uncomfortable and being in a learning mode. Three words critical in your creation of your winning mlm mindset…

Orin Woodward says there are three things we want to be: Hungry, Honable and Honorable.

These are all subjects in themselves, but briefly to be hungry means to be willing to learn and willing to be uncomfortable. That makes us go out and seek what is necessary to get where we want to be. We want more than where we are presently.

Honable, means to be willing to let our mentors, those we trust to help us mold ourselves to who we want to be. We can model the successful person we want to be. We are willing to trust. This is big, our society is very low in trust. In a book I am reading, “The Speed of Trust, by S Covey, when trust is low, business slows way down, it is bogged down because of lack of trust, no one get anything done, it all goes through a process and a contest.

Remember the problems for themselves even before they actually have happened. Its the perception that we have of our present. Beware! You Might Be Damaging Your MLM With Old Patterns!

Wow, I am sure you are wondering what I mean by that! I had an experience yesterday that made me aware that I still have some of those patterns lurking inside of me. And I felt it to be very important to share what I have found with you.

We have to be careful and be aware of our old patterns creeping in when we build our business they may not even seem odd to us, because they are like a comfortable old shoe. Those patterns can damage our mlm business.
